For a number of years I have been painting with acrylics. After watching numerous Instagram tutorials by other artists, I decided I was ready for some more serious instruction. Scott’s course was just what I needed. I was a true beginner and I learned a lot about watercolor as a medium, the tools etc. Because I am really new to watercolor, I would have liked to know somethings that are hard to show in a video course, like how wet is your paper actually? That’s a limitation of the format. Scott did a nice job narrating his thought process as he painted so that I knew why he made the decisions he did. I would have liked to have had maybe one or two fewer sunset pictures and maybe a lesson on some detail. Kind of like the one on trees—but maybe for rocks or something. Overall definitely worth the money and the time.
